Pochettino takes decision on selling Raheem Sterling
Raheem Sterling is ‘very much in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans’ for the next season, at Stamford Bridge the Guardian report.
The 28-year-old welcomes the arrival of the Argentine and hopes that Poch will stay at the Bridge for a long time. Harry Kane told him of the ex-Spurs coach’s man-management skills and the attacker is happy to work with the new gaffer.
The Guardian add that Raheem wants Chelsea ‘to get back to basics’ because ‘the more they try to fix it, the worse it gets’.
Sterling’s debut season at Chelsea has been one to forget. The forward has scored just nine goals and provided three assists in 36 matches across all competitions. He’s the best goal contributor in the squad but much more was expected from him when he arrived as a marquee signing last summer.
