After missing four matches for Chelsea, Olivier Giroud breaks silence concerning his future

Not having a regular playing time for Chelsea under Frank Lampard has been an issue for Olivier Giroud and now the same issue is happening with the new manager Thomas Tuchel.

It was such an amazing moment when Oliver Giroud overhead kick goal against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League knockout stage gave Chelsea an edge heading into the second leg of the game.

After the game, Chelsea have play Everton, Leeds United, Atletico Madrid again in the second leg and Sheffield United in the FA Cup but of all four games, French Striker has been on the bench and it has grow concern over Thomas Tuchel decision on Oliver Giroud.

Despite Giroud been fit, and Thomas Tuchel has three strikers in his squad, Kai Havertz has been deployed mainly in the striking position in recent games so far, so it seems Tuchel preferred using a false 9 to either of his three strikers.

However, France International Striker Giroud whose contact is expiring at the end of the season hasn’t ruled out extending his contract with Chelsea according to the Athletic via UK News. Even though clubs are showing interest for the 34 years Old Striker, he is considering signing another year for Chelsea.
