As China battles to contain the outbreak of coronavirus which has led to the death of no fewer than three hundred people, there has been a report of another outbreak in the country.
On Saturday in Hunan, according to the South China Morning Post, an outbreak of bird flu has occurred causing panic in the area.
The report indicated that out of 7,850 chickens on the farm, about 4,500 chickens have died from the outbreak. Bird flu has been declared contagious and can affect human beings.
According to the World Health Organization, it is a “highly infectious, severe respiratory disease in birds.”
