Bad news for Tuchel as Marina makes transfer decision on a world-class midfielder

Chelsea football club are undoubtedly one of the few active Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window before it was shut in September.

The West London club are keen on achieving more success under the management of Thomas Tuchel and have splashed the cash during the summer.

The Blues added the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to their squad as they aim to compete with Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool this season. And that has quite worked out so well for Chelsea as they are currently on top of the Premier League table after taking up 22 points from the nine league matches they have played so far.

However, Chelsea could now be rocked with reports that experienced central defender Andreas Christensen could be on his way out of the club when the transfer window opens.

The 25-year-old Denmark International, who left Brondby IF to join Chelsea in 2012 has been an important member of the first-team squad over the previous years.

The experienced centre-back enjoyed an interesting 2020/2021 season where he made 25 appearances in all competitions as Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League.

Andreas Christensen has also started the ongoing 2021/2022 season on a strong note and has scored one goal in the 10 appearances he has made so far

But then, Andreas Christensen has less than a year left on his current contract with Chelsea and according to reports from The Sun, he is not close to signing a new contract anytime soon.

Reports from The Sun further claimed that Chelsea has infact stalled negotiations with Andreas Christensen over a new contract and must be preparing to offload him when the transfer window opens.

That said, it remains to be seen if Andreas Christensen will have a change of heart and commit his future to Chelsea or be interested in a move away from the club when the window opens next year.
