The president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo has opened up on the attack on Ike Ekweremadu in Germany, calling it a sacrilege.
Nwodo was speaking on Monday at Channels Television’s Newsnight with Ladi Akeredolu-Ale.
He said attacking someone who is old enough to be your father is according to him ‘un-igbo’, it is strange to Igbo. Attempting to tear Ekweremadu’s clothes in public, in a foreign land is an assault.
He narrated further that he was supposed to be in the meeting but asked Ekweremadu to represents him. “In Germany there were about eight Igbo organisations and no one wants to step down for the others, so Ike was in Germany to reconcile and unite them, he said.
