Big boost for Tuchel as Chelsea board ready to seal £40m deal for his top target

The gradual re-establishment of Chelsea football club has been very attractive under Thomas Tuchel since Frank Lampard was sacked some four months ago.

The balance he has got at the club plus the tactical changes have made him be a success as the club is set to play in the UEFA Champions League final in a weeks time.

However, Thomas Tuchel has got some defensive worries as he would love to get a proper defender to complement Thiago Silva at the club.

This has got Thomas Tuchel target several quality defensive players who he would like to recruit so that he can continue his success next season.

Paris Saint Germain’s Marquinhos, Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and Bayern Munich’s Sule are among his targets, but he has received a major boost towards signing one of his targets.
According to German publication SportBild podcast, Thomas Tuchel has received a major boost towards signing Sule this summer transfer window.

The reports claim that contract extension negotiations between Sule and Bayern have stalled which means that the club will have to sell him over the summer rather than loss him for a free next summer.

A fee of around £40 million will tempt Bayern Munich to sell off the versatile German defender which Chelsea’s board will be willing to pay.
