The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has made a shocking statement about the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, while congratulating Mr Rauf Aregbesola,
El-Rufai made this statement at a webinar in commemoration of the 63rd birthday of the Minister of Interior, Punch reports.
The former Governor of Osun State, Aregbesola, on Saturday, was marking his birthday where El-Rufai, said that he and Tinubu had differences.
“I want to congratulate my brother, Ogbeni (Aregbesola), on his birthday. You know I’m your man any day. I’m not Asiwaju’s man and you are Asiwaju’s man, but I am your man any day. Asiwaju and I have differences but you and I have no differences,” El-Rufai said.
It was believed that both Tinubu and El-Rufai seem to have interest in running for the presidency in 2023. Although, they have not come out publicly to make this position known to Nigerians and their supporters.
It is also believed that the All Progressive Party APC will be zoning the president in 2023 to the South as the President Muhammadu Buhari would have completed his eight years tenure, for the North.
Political watchers are looking with keen interest what will happen in 2023, as well as the relationship between Bola Tinubu and El-Rufai.
In appreciating the people at the event, Aregbesola, who turned 63 thanked them all. He mentioned president Buhari in supporting him at every opportunity and also mentioned Bola Tinubu as a pillar of support to him after God.
“The second person who has played a very huge role in making me a good public administrator is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He takes all the glory, apart from God,” he said.
