According to Gazzetta dello sport via MilanNews, it has been reported that UEFA have suspended the referee and VAR Assistant from AC Milan’s game versus Atletico Madrid.
AC Milan have two losses from two games already in the Champions league but in those two games they have also conceded two penalties as well and have received a red card. UEFA have made the decision to suspend the referee and VAR assistant from their (AC Milan) game against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
The men in question are Cüneyt Cakir and Abdulkadir Bitigen who put in an awful display last Tuesday at the San Siro. They made a lot of decisions in the game probably leading to the loss of AC Milan at home. They gave a penalty in the dying minutes of the game even when replays shows that the decision was wrong.
The referee also gave Franck Keasie a red card during play. Marcos Llorente handled the ball in the box, and Kondogbia escaped punishment for his behaviors as well. All these adding up to the poor officiating done that day at San Siro, and now UEFA have taken serious steps.
