Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the ongoing Russia-Africa Summit have met on the sideline to make some gains to both countries as Nigeria appearing the better of it.
President Muhammadu Buhari appears to be packing a lot of blessings for Nigerians with his both hands when he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia, on Wednesday
Some of the numerous gains for Nigeria includes:
- The completion of the abandoned Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mill.
- Improving the efficiency of Nigeria’s oil sector, which will see to rehabilitation of the oil refineries through a joint venture between Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Russia-based Lukoil
The Russia government agreed to support the development of Nigeria’s rail infrastructure by constructing 1,400 kilometres track from Lagos to the South-South city of Calabar.

Technical support for our Military and the fight against insurgency.
There are many more to come as Buhari is using the opportunity at this summit to win more goodies for Nigeria.
There have been a lot of applaud for the Nigerian president for putting the welfare of Nigerians on the table over there in Sochi, Russia. He has made up his mind to lift millions out of poverty, perhaps this one of the ways to do just that.
