Celebration at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea achieve another feat under Thomas Tuchel

Congratulations to the Blues as they joined Manchester City and Liverpool to qualify for the prestigious UEFA Champions League after Arsenal failed to make it to UEFA Champions League next season as they threw away their chances tonight when they lost by 2-0 to Newcastle United.

Their defeat has then confirmed three EPL teams’ successful qualifications for the UEFA Champions League next season with one left lingering until the final day of the season.

The first half of the game was an entertaining one at St James Park as Newcastle gave Arsenal a tough game. The Magpies look dangerous whenever they drive the ball towards Arsenal’s defense. Both teams saw opportunities to break the deadlock but missed out as the score remained 0-0 at half-time.

In the second half, Newcastle United takes the lead when a cross from Joelinton resulted in Ben White’s own goal. Bruno Guimaires made it 2-0 as Newcastle defeated Arsenal for the first time since 2018.

Mikel Arteta and his men were gutted at full-time as everything they’ve been working for rolled away. However, here are the EPL teams that have successfully qualified for the UCL next season:

Manchester City Liverpool, and Chelsea. The title will be decided between Manchester City and Liverpool as the City is currently trailing Liverpool by four points with the latter having a game in hand before the final day. Chelsea on the other third has joined both teams tonight in the EPL teams who will play UCL next season following Arsenal’s results.

Tottenham is just a half step away as they are now leading Arsenal with two points with one game left. Tottenham will be facing Norwich (Away) and Antoine Conte will find all means to beat them while Arsenal will host Everton at the Emirates Stadium. But as it stands Tottenham has technically qualified because they just needed a draw at least on the final day.

If Tottenham draws against Norwich, Arsenal needs to win by (16) goals against Everton to qualify for the UCL next season.

Arsenal will be hoping that Tottenham lose against Norwich, while they win against Everton.
