Chelsea agree deal to welcome world-class defender back to Stamford Bridge

As January transfer window is ongoing Chelsea are among clubs looking for answers to their injury problems which have affected their performance so far.

The Blues are seriously considering to bolister their defensive department in the already opened january transfer window by landing potential targets that can arguably revive their hopes of going head to head with rivals Manchester city for the EPL title.

It’s literally understood that a cover for Ben Chilwel is allegedly needed at Stamford Bridge and it’s one ideal ex-chelsea defender has reportedly been found according to reports.

According to Football London, Chelsea have reportedly agreed to make a potential move for Leicester City’s defender Ryan Bertrand as a cover to injured Chilwel who anticipated to be out till the end of the season.Bertrand, 32 left Chelsea as a free agent after spending ten years with the London based heavyweights from 2005 to 2015 before heading for Leicester City whereby he has fallen under pecking order with Luke Thomas starting ahead of him.

Meanwhile, Everton’s ace Lucas Digne is as well being targeted by Chelsea with latest reports already suggesting that he’s willing to move to Stamford Bridge.
