Chelsea and Man United in fierce battle over the signing of £50m-rated top striker

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to sign a prolific goalscoring machine to lead his frontline in the coming season and he’s reportedly planning to hijack Chelsea’s target.

It should be noted that Chelsea are viewing Everton’s Striker Dominic Calvert Lewin as a top target to bolister their attacking options with Thomas Tuchel ready to meet Everton’s valuation which is estimated to be £50m.Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported earlier on that the Blues were to hold talks with the player’s agent over possible move to Stamford Bridge but it’s like they are missing out on the deal. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer meaning business this summer, I think he’s working underway to find a long term replacement for Belgium International Romelu Lukaku who exited Old Trafford like 2 years ago.

United are reportedly planning to lure the prolific goalscoring machine to land at Old Trafford by offering him a welcoming salary and ready to offer Everton the release clause without bargaining.Meanwhile, Calvert-Lewin scored 16 goals in 33 games in the Premier League last season after an impressive start to the 2020-21 campaign before his form tailed off in 2021.
