Chelsea have been busiest in the summer transfer market that has just ended and have confirmed more transfer deals as the window is now shut.
What this means is that CHELSEA can no longer sign new players from overseas.
That won’t be something that overly upsets Blues supporters, though, with the club being one of the most active clubs in the window.
Check all the signings so far:
Kai Havertz – £72m from Bayer Leverkusen
Timo Werner – £47m from RB Leipzig
Ben Chilwell – £45m from Leicester City
Hakim Ziyech – £36m from Ajax
Edouard Mendy – £21m from Rennes
Malang Sarr – free transfer from Nice
Thiago Silva – free transfer from PSG
In total, Roman Abramovich has provided his club with over £200m to spend on seven new players at Stamford Bridge.
There were rumours that Declan Rice of West Ham United could be on his way to their London rivals as well, and be Frank Lampard’s eighth signing of the window.
However, the England midfielder is staying at the Hammers until January – at the very least – with the Blues’ interest unlikely to go anytime soon.
The Blues have started the season well, but it’s clear it may take some of the new signings some time to adapt to English football.
As it stands, Lampard’s side are seventh in the league standings, after recording seven points from a possible 12.
Harry Redknapp can’t believe the staggering finances behind Ruben Loftus-Cheeks’ Fulham move
