Chelsea could announce a world-class prolific striker as first summer signing for Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea new manager Thomas Tuchel is still waiting to welcome his first signing for the Blues as he inherited a lot of talented players.

As the 2020/21 football season is gradually been wrapped up, the European transfer window is also drawing closer, where clubs could reinforce their squad by adding new players and also sell players that are considered surplus to requirements at the club or players that needs a new challenge.

The official date for the opening of the Premier League transfer window has not been revealed by the authorities, but clubs could go on to secure deals of their targets ahead of the official oppening of the transfer window.

According to recent reports, Chelsea are already making plans on the summer transfer market, on how to sell some players to race enough funds to pursue the purchase of a top striker this summer.

Acquiring a top striker seems to be the priority for Chelsea this summer, with Oliver Giroud leaving the club on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract and Tammy Abraham struggling to fit into Thomas Tuchel plans at Chelsea, which could see him also been shipped out of the club at the end of this season.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing either one of Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku in the upcoming transfer window.

Haaland has been the interest of almost all top clubs in Europe, due to his sensational performances for Borussia Dortmund this season. Dortmund has placed a valuation of about €150 million on the 20 years old striker.

Reports has claimed that, it might be difficult for Chelsea to acquire the signature of Erling Haaland this season, due to the high competition for the signature of the youngster.

Chelsea would now focus on bringing back Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer, and could be ready to table a bid worth £90 million for the striker to tempt Inter Milan to sell.

Romelu Lukaku has been on top form for Inter Milan this season, scoring 27 goals in 40 appearances, and he is on the verge of winning the serie A title this season.

The 27 years old was a former Chelsea player between the year of 2011 and 2014, after several loan deals, he was sold out permanently to Everton, and also made a move to old Trafford in 2017, where he spent two years before moving to Italian Serie A.

Chelsea is likely to test Inter Milan with a £90 million bid this summer, to make him their first signing ahead of the 2021/22 season.
