After losing many players after the end of 2019/2020 season, Chelsea have started planning ahead of next season, as they’ve signed some players, and they are still looking forward to doing more.
Frank Lampard led Blues lose Spain international Pedro Rodriguez and Brazilian midfielder Willian Borges da Silva on a free transfer, after the two star Players contract came to an end at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea intentionally agreed to let Pedro leave, after the Spaniard was surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues strived so hard to extend Willian’s contract, but they did not agree a new deal, and that led to his move to Arsenal.
After signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, and Hakim Ziyech from Ajax Amsterdam, Chelsea are now set to add more players to the team and they’ve been linked with Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz and Leicester city defender Ben Chilwell.
The report says the two players are on the verge to join Chelsea, but Ben Chilwell is more closer to Stamford Bridge, according to the report from England that says the Blues have agreed to sign the Defender.
“Rumours that Ben Chilwell is joining Chelsea any day & a fee has been agreed. These are rumours & nothing is concrete but it looks like Chilwell will be coming. I’m ok with the signing as long as it does not have any finachial bearing on our other targets this summer.” (one of Chelsea insiders was quoted.)
Chelsea FC supporters reactions after the England star has allegedly agree to move to the Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea conceded a lot of goals in the just concluded season, and they are seriously in the market for new players that will solve the teams problem, both in the attack and defensively.
