Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper, Kepa has been reported to proceed on loan ahead of the deadline after Mendy arrived Stamford Bridge.
The Blues completed the signing of Edouard Mendy from Rennes for £22million on Thursday.
He is set to go straight into Frank Lampard’s side for this weekend’s clash with West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Now The Sun is reporting that Lampard will sanction a loan move for Kepa following Mendy’s arrival.
The Spaniard has struggled to live up to the hype after joining in a world record £71m deal in 2018.
He made a series of errors last season and has already made a couple of mistakes this term.
Chelsea are the busiest so far in the transfer market for the summer as some quality players have arrived to the fold.
Players like Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell were among the stars that joined Chelsea.
It was earlier reported that Kepa will stay with Chelsea to fight for his place in the squad.
But it seems the loan option will be favoured as against outright selling.
