Chelsea News Live: Thomas Tuchel to battle Man United to sign £70m world-class player
After Thomas Tuchel has been signed by Chelsea Football Club to replace former manager Frank Lampard, he has gone straight to business.
Lampard has been clamoring to sign the West Ham play maker, Declan Rice but it has not been completed since the summer.
Now Manchester United are also in the race to sign £70m-urated Chelsea transfer target by summer.
But with Tuchel back in business, United will have to contend with him.
Declan Rice’s versatility was the major thing that endeared him to Lampard, as the 22-year-old star has the ability to field as a defensive midfielder and also as a centre-back.
The renowned source also claimed that West Ham are only willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old star if their £70m valuation of the midfielder is met.
With Frank Lampard no longer the manager at Chelsea, the bid to sign Declan Rice might no longer be a two-way battle because Chelsea New manager Thomas Tuchel might not be interested in signing the former Chelsea star.
With things at Chelsea still unclear, Manchester United could be the sole runners for the midfielder’s signature.
