Jules Kounde has clarified his cryptic tweet that he posted on Friday night as this is coming after he failed to secure Stamford Bridge move.
The French international was flooded with messages from Chelsea fans, who mistakenly thought the tweet was a reference to his failed transfer.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for Kounde this summer, however, the transfer didn’t materialise.
The Sevilla centre-back was reportedly furious about the deal not going through, even refusing to return calls to Sevilla’s hierarchy, and Chelsea fans thought he had taken the bold decision to vent about his feelings on social media.
“You know the price of everything but the value of nothing,” Kounde tweeted.
Both Sevilla and Chelsea fans took his comment to be some kind of cryptic message relating to the failed transfer, with fans of the Spanish club criticising his comment and Chelsea supporters urging him to continue pushing for a move.
However, he later clarified his comments with tweeting: “Chill !! it’s just lyrics, really not that deep.”
