Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is still considering whether or not to strengthen his midfield department, despite having a large number of players available in that position.Several sources claim that Tuchel wants to inject more energy into the midfield so that the team can compete more effectively with Manchester United and Manchester City for the Premier League title.
The report from Football London claims that Chelsea have made their first move to sign Saul Niguez, a midfielder for the Spanish club Athletico Madrid, who is also a target for Manchester United.
Saul’s interest appears to be all the more surprising given that Tuchel’s plans were not to sign a defensive midfielder to replace the aging Ngolo Kante, but rather to sign a playmaker to replace him.
Meanwhile, the Blues are reportedly considering rekindling their interest in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, despite the fact that Manchester United are also interested in the player.
The final question is who do you think Chelsea should sign between Declan Rice and Saul Niguez, in your opinion? Do you think Chelsea’s approach to acquiring new players has been successful so far? Are they sluggish, or are they simply good?
