Chelsea football club will most definitely be keen on winning more trophies this seasom under the management of Thomas Tuchel after an eventful summer transfer window.
The West London made some additions to their squad during the summer as they aim to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League trophy this season.
However, that is quite going to plan for Chelsea so far as they are currently occupying the 3rd position on the Premier League table despite their most recent 3-2 loss away to West Ham United on Saturday.And now, Chelsea remain keen on improving their defensive options and have been linked with a move for Fenerbahce central defender Attila Szalai when the transfer window opens.
The 23-year-old Hungary International, who joined Fenerbahce in 2021 after leaving Apollon Limassol has been an important member of the first team squad since he made the move.
The young central defender was heavily involved during the 2020/2021 season as he scored six goals and created three assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Attila Szalai has also started the 2021/2022 season on a strong note and has recorded two assists in 21 appearances for Fenerbahce so far, helping his side to 3rd position on the league table.And due to his impressive displays in the heart of defence, Chelsea are keen on adding Attila Szalai to their squad when the transfer window opens next year.
And according to reports from The Sun, Hungary national team manager Marco Rossi has confirmed that the deal for Attila Szalai to join Chelsea is done and completed.
If signed, Atilla Szalai will join a defence that already possess the likes or Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah in that position.
