Coronavirus: President of Cameroon’s Parliament tests positive, 167 members at risk

President of Cameroon’s Parliament, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus and thereby putting all members of the parliament at risk.

Cavaye was reported to have violated Quarantine guidelines because he refused to undergo self-isolation against the world standard and practice..

He refused to self-isolate for 14 days after his trip via Air France flight

All 167 Parliament members of the nation’s National Assembly are at risk, because he has presided over at least two plenary sessions upon his arrival into the country.

The Parliament willbe shut down and all members proceed to self-isolation.
