The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is a man of great achievements. Before he won the Presidential election in 2015, he had contested in 2003, 2007 and 2011, but he lost.
We are looking at his DecadeChallenge between 2010 and 2019.
He turned his defeat in 2011 to victory in 2015 by beating the incumbent president, making the first time in the history of Nigeria where an incumbent would lose an election.
After assuming office he battled ill-health and came out victorious. He later disclosed that he has never been that sick before.
In the 2019 presidential election, he came out successful by defeating his closest rival Abubakar Atiku with a margin of over 3 million votes.
Some of the qualities we can learn from him are his ability to endure until success is guaranteed, the ability to embark on any policy he thinks is best for the nation without fear of contradictions and his physical strength.
Recently he celebrated his 70th birthday and said some people at 70 are going about with crutches.
Others qualities are his good sense of humour, he loves people around him and a good truster of people.
Our prayers this new year for the president is good health, wisdom and divine guidance to always do the right thing for our beloved country, Nigeria.
