Sunday transfer news and updates as the January transfer window will come to a close in matter of hours looking at it from Chelsea perspectives and other clubs.

There are some official done deals as well as other transfer updates.

OFFICIAL: Tahith Chong has joined Club Brugge on loan until the end of the season from Manchester United.
OFFICIAL: Manchester United midfielder “James Garner” has completed a loan move to Nottingham Forest. The Manchester United midfielder would stay with Nottingham Forest until the end of the season. The 19-year-old midfielder made a strong start to the season at Vicarage Road and has played in 20 of the Hornets’ 26 Championship games.
Erling Haaland has only been at Borussia Dortmund for a year but his name continues to be linked with Europe’s elite clubs, and Chelsea are the latest to appear interested. New manager Thomas Tuchel has asked owner Roman Abramovich to join the hunt for the Norwegian striker, who is already being eyed up by the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Manchester United are believed to retain interest in Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele ahead of the summer window, as per reports. The French star was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer as a last-ditch alternative to Jadon Sancho, a player they were keen on, but failed to sign due to the English man’s massive price tag.

The Red Devils will hope to replicate the success of their last signing from Sporting CP as they target their latest sensation, Pedro Goncalves. They expect Pote to remain at the club at least until the end of the season and will consider selling him in the summer should he receive suitable bids. He is protected by a €60 m release clause with a contract that runs up until 2025.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid of 70m euros for the young French defender. Kounde has impressed since arriving at Sevilla from Bordeaux. According to The Mirror, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge admirer of Kounde and has made his signing a priority in the summer window, seeing him as the ideal partner to Harry Maguire in central defence.
Liverpool have reportedly enquired about signing West Ham centre-back Issa Diop before the transfer window closes in a day’s time. According to The Athletic, Liverpool were previously reluctant to go into the transfer market this month. But given the injury to Joel Matip against Tottenham, the Reds have been left with no choice but to try and bring in a centre-back immediately.
