After the signing of world-class coach, Thomas Tuchel by Chelsea, fans of the club are optimistic that there will be massive improvement in the club.
In just a few days time the January transfer window will be shut and so far we’ve not seen any big money arrivals in England. England’s traditional big teams, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are yet to sign any ‘big name’ player as we speak.
Amad Diallo’s move to Manchester United and Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori moving to AC Milan remains the only notable player transfers Chelsea and United have conducted. Liverpool’s need to sign a quality centre back this January have have been evident in these last few games due to their defensive problems at the moment. No deal has been agreed with any of Liverpool’s reported defensive targets as at the time of filling this report. We will now look at the football transfer rumours making the rounds in Europe at this moment ..
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will no longer pursue the deal to sign highly rated West Ham midfielder Declan Rice. Rice has been a Chelsea target for some time now and ex Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was interested in bringing the youngster who left the club at an early stage in his career back. West Ham’s evaluation of the Englishman is quite high and anyone interested in a deal must be willing to part with more than 50 million pounds to make that happen. As per the report, Tuchel will not be interested in Declan Rice but will pursue his own midfield targets in the summer.
Still at Chelsea, the blues young midfielder Billy Gilmour has tipped to go out on loan from Chelsea this January. The Scottish international have impressed when called upon by the previous manager, Frank Lampard but it seems that new manager Tuchel would rather go with the senior players in the team rather than the youngsters at the moment. There is no doubt however that Gilmour has a future at West London.
According to Le’Equippe, a French football newspaper, Tottenham are exploring the option of moving in for Paris Saint Germain winger Angel Di Maria. Di Maria whose contract runs out in the summer has been approached by the Spurs representatives but it’s believed that the Argentine will rather remain at Parc Des Princes and sign another contract.
Draxler is another Paris Saint Germain player in the news and this time, it’s about a swap deal with Arsenal. PSG is reported to have made a swap offer involving Julian Draxler to Arsenal. Draxler have been linked with a move to North London for some time now and it seems like PSG are also willing to let the ex Schalke man leave the club. Both players could head swap clubs if both Arsenal and PSG come to terms on the deal.
According to Mundo Depotivo, Real Madrid are struggling to come up with the finances to sign highly rated Paris Saint Germain wide man Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe has been linked with Real Madrid for more than a year now but Fiorentino Perez is yet to make a tempting offer to Paris Saint Germain for the Frenchman. Liverpool are also rumoured to be monitoring the situation closely and could make a move if Real Madrid fails to do so.
Finally, Chelsea’s new manager Thomas Tuchel will not end the club’s interest in highly rated Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Tuchel is a known admirer of the Norwegian striker and was also linked with Haaland bavk when he was at PSG.
