Manchester United have announced that goalkeeper, Matej Kovar, will spend the remainder of the 2021/22 season on loan at League One club, Burton Albion.
Man United disclosed this in a statement via their website on Tuesday morning.
“Matej Kovar will spend the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Burton Albion after agreeing on a loan move to the League One club,” Man United’s statement read.
“The 21-year-old has also signed a new contract at Manchester United, lasting until June 2023, with the option of an additional year’s extension.
“Everybody at United would like to wish Matej the best of luck this term as we will follow his progress at the Pirelli Stadium.”
Kovar was called up to the Czech Republic senior squad for the first time in September, following a series of impressive performances for his country’s Under-21s.
