FC Porto vs Chelsea: UEFA bans two key players for the Champions League first leg clash

The draw for the quarter final stage of the ongoing UEFA Champions League is still generating reactions, also two key players will definitely miss the first leg tie.

Chelsea will face FC Porto in the quarter-finals of the UCL. The first-leg will be away from home, with the second-leg at Stamford Bridge.

Sérgio Oliveira & Mehdi Taremi will be suspended for the 1st leg for Porto. Oliveira scored both their goals in the 2nd leg against Juventus. Big miss.

Chelsea have no current suspensions. They have won each of their four previous home games against Porto – all coming in the Champions League. This puts them into their best 100% winning ratio on home soil against any side across all European competition. Fantastic.

Chelsea’s fixtures in April:
  1. Chelsea vs Sheffield Utd (21/03)

  2. Chelsea vs West Brom (03/04)

  3. Porto vs Chelsea 1st leg (06/04)

  4. Crystal Palace vs Chelsea (10/04)

  5. Chelsea vs Porto 2nd leg (13/04)

1x FA Cup, 2x Premier League, 2x Champions League games.

“Yes, everything is possible! We know what we need, and if it works out just fine then that would be very, very good! We have to take match after match, I hope we can stay in the competition as long as possible.” – Kante on if Chelsea can win the CL.

Chelsea have avoided Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City until the Champions League Final (if we were to reach it). They(Chelsea) aims at a win against Porto, and one of Liverpool or Real Madrid stand in the way of our 3rd Champions League Final.

Will Chelsea manage to beat porto? Having in mind that porto eliminated Christiano Ronaldo’s team(Juventus).
