Ganduje sacks works’ commisioner, for rejoicing over Kyari’s death on Facebook

Following the death of Buhar’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, the commissioner of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Mu’azu Magaji in Kano state, has been sacked by Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Kanduje said the sack is with immediate effect, over the commissioner’s reaction on Facebook after the death of Abba Kyari.

The Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, made it known that the sack was needed as a public servant, the commissioner ought to know how to refrain himself from dangerous and unguided utterances.

The sack’s statement reads: “The action of a public servant, personal or otherwise reflects back on the government and therefore, the Ganduje administration would not tolerate people in official capacities engaging in personal vendetta or otherwise.”

As many Nigerians including the president mourn, Kano’s commissioner did otherwise and has been sacked by the governor and with immediate effect.

Below is the Facebook message that got Engr. Mu’azu into trouble.

“There is a world of difference between a good person and a good leader. Leadership is an aggregated quality of mass empathy and personal favours.

”Nigeria is bigger than any individual. While praying for the President’s late support staff. Ours is to prevent a repeat of a non-accountable domineering era.”
