Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea appears to be close to completing the acquisition of 19-year-old midfielder Cesare Casadei after reportedly reaching agreement on personal terms with the Inter Milan prospect.
The deal is worth in the region of €15 million (plus bonuses).
According to Fabrizio Romano and others, the incredibly talented young international from Italy, who is still yet to make his senior professional debut, has agreed to a six-year deal with the West Londoners, rejecting teams like OGC Nice in France and US Sassuolo in Italy.
Despite the rather obscure and perplexing post-Brexit work visa restrictions, it seems likely that the highly-rated wonderkid won’t be joining the Chelsea first squad soon. Although a transfer agreement between the two parties has not been fully reached, this appears to be coming to a fruitful end for the Former European Champions as they add yet another talented youth to the squad & strive to develop not just for this campaign but for many seasons to come.
