Good news at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea make contract breakthrough of a world-class player

Big news from Stamford Bridge to all Chelsea fans all over the world as Thomas Tuchel will now be allowed to have his man to compete for more titles.

Chelsea fans now have a reason to smile after star made a huge admission with regards to his future. There could be a breakthrough in the Club’s desire to tie defender Antonio Rüdiger to a new long-term deal. This is after the German revealed his plans to stay at the Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old defender’s contract expires at the end of the season and thus, would be free to negotiate with foreign clubs on a potential move away. However, the former Roma man has broken his silence on his future, expressing his desire to pen a new deal with The Blues.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Toni is making his stay at the London based club beyond this season his priority. While an initial offer from the club was dismissed, both parties are continuing negotiations in the hope of finding a common ground soon. Toni rejected the £140,000-per-week offer from the board because it fell short of what he wants (£200,000) by at least £60,000.

The center-back reassured fans of his commitment to the club and Tuchel’s goals.

“You know how the media likes to sensationalize these things by adding salt to make headlines. You will not hear from me until the day of the final decision. We still have a lot to do at Chelsea this season, and my full focus at the moment is on the City game. My agent is currently taking care of everything else,” he told SportsBild.
