Fans of Chelsea FC have gotten a reason to celebrate after their two star players are getting ready to join the squad to make Frank Lampard a happy man again.
Chelsea suffered their third defeat of the season in quick successions having lost just once in their last ten premier league games before they faced Everton on Saturday.
Frank Lampard was aware of the threats Wolves presented at the Molineux, and an early second half goal from Giroud seemed to be heading the blues in the right path. But it was never going to be their day. Goals from Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto made sure of that as the blues were condemned to their second consecutive premier league defeat.
Speaking after the game, Frank Lampard confirmed that Ziyech and Hudson-Odoi would be back to training during the week, and they will need to be accessed if they could feature against Westham. Chelsea have certainly missed Ziyech- failing to win in his absence and suffering back-to back bruising defeats to Everton and Wolves. Both wingers have been sidelined with hamstring problems, forcing them to miss the games against Krasnodar, Everton and Wolves. But a return back to training for them is certainly a major boost as Lampard will need inspiration from all fronts at the moment.
The blues are next in premier league action on Monday night as they welcome David Moyes Westham to the Bridge. The Hammers are currently in seventh position, two points behind Chelsea, but a win for David Moyes boys against Crystal Palace later tonight would see them leapfrog Chelsea into fifth place.
With the fixtures pouring in during the festive season, Lampard has little time to think things through; and if he’s to get Chelsea back to the top then he will need to act fast!
