Heavy announcements from Stamford Bridge as UK govt sends message to new Chelsea owners

New Chelsea owner has received a message from the UK government over the operation of the Stamford Bridge outfit, Chelsea, the Blues.

According to the reports, the UK government want to see Chelsea’s new owners cut loose chairman Bruce Buck and managing director Marina Granovskaia.

The government doesn’t want the Blues to have anything to do with the Russian billionaire. They don’t want him to have any share of the proceeds from the sale of Chelsea.

The latest warning was delivered by Julian Knight, chairman of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee.

Knight says the pair are too close to sanctioned owner Roman Abramovich.

He told the Financial Times: “Any continuity with the Abramovich regime at Chelsea is certainly an unsettling development.

“There needs to be clarity surrounding the process to ensure that everything is being done to the letter.”
