How to watch Chelsea vs Southampton live online, team news, kick-off time, head to head and predicted lineup

Chelsea will host Southampton in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday as both teams seek to advance to the next 9round of the competition.

The Blues are currently on a four-match winning streak across all competitions. They have won their last three games, scoring 12 goals and conceding none in the process.

They come into Tuesday’s fixture off the back of a thumping 7-0 win over Norwich in their last Premier League outing to stay top of the standings, while Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Saints drew 2-2 with Burnley to keep out of danger at the opposite end of the table.

Team news

Thomas Tuchel is expected to make up to nine changes in the Chelsea lineup which could mean Kepa Arrizabalaga, Ross Barkley, Saul Niguez and Hakim Ziyech come into the starting lineup.

There will not be shirts for injured duo of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, while N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic probably won’t be risked for this one.

For Southampton, James Ward-Prowse serves the final game of a three-match ban, while Jack Stephens and Mohamed Elyounoussi miss out through injury.

Armando Broja has started both the previous games in this competition but is ineligible to play against his parent club. He would have been an injury doubt anyway.

Head to head

The clubs last met in this competition in November 1997 when Tore Andre Flo and Jody Morris scored in a 2-1 Chelsea win that was decided in extra-time. That was also a fourth round tie.

Venue and kickoff

Stamford Bridge stadium will host this match, while the kickoff time has been scheduled for 7:45pm.
