Huge report from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea plot £36m summer signing of Pulisic’s rival

As the January transfer window has been shut, Chelsea have begun planning for the summer Transfer window by drawing up a list of star players to join Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues maintain low profile during the January transfer window but now planning to go all out in summer.

According to The Athletic, Tuchel and Chelsea’s board agreed to deviate away from the constructs of ‘spending big’ in January and instead prioritise a summer overhaul.

The report claims that Chelsea has already begun drawing up a list of targets, including Jules Kounde, Declan Rice, and Aurelien Tchouameni, handing the Blues squad just four months to prove why they deserve them a place in Tuchel’s first-team next season.

However, while the west Londoners’ summer shopping list emphasises strengthening the spine of the team, the European champions have also been linked with a player that poses a threat to Christian Pulisic’s future.

Chelsea has discussed the potential of bringing Atletico Madrid wide-man Yannick Carasco to the club at the end of the season, according to Footmercato.

The 28-year-old has seamlessly evolved from a forward into a wing-back over the last 12 months, playing a crucial role in helping Diego Simeone lift La Liga last season.

Carrasco’s ability to continue performing at the highest level while learning his trade in a new position hands Pulisic the blueprint to arming himself. If or when called upon, Pulisic has the same tools to become Tuchel’s Chilwell alternative.

The Belgium international, which is valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, would be a superb addition to Tuchel’s side in the summer, adding great versatility to the squad, but his potential arrival could spell the end of Pulisic’s tenure.
