Deadline day rush has continued as more clubs are in late move to secure the signing of their target players and now London club have taken a new step.
Arsenal FC are reportedly making moves to sign a new forward as a possible replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, the Gunners are making a late move for PSV Eindhoven forward, Cody Gakpo who’s currently valued at £25million.It’s no longer news that Arsenal have made plans to offload their star, Aubameyang, and they are in need of a replacement and time is of essence.
The Gunners have been linked with some players this January such as Susan Vlahovic, Alexander Isak and Raul de Tomes but it seems none has worked out.
However, the Gunners still have another option which is Cody Gakpo according to Foot Mecarto. The Netherlands international has been in a fine form this season as he’s netted 10 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions including Champions League qualifiers.
Although Gakpo would not completely replace Aubameyang, he can as well stand in the gap for the Gunners.
