The president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo declared that The indigenous People of Biafra are a minority and therefore cannot represent the Igbo.
Nwodo made this statement on Monday when he was reacting to questions from Ladi Akeredolu-Ale on NewsNight at Channels Television.
He said “attacking Igbo leaders in a foreign land has painted the Igbo in a bad light, people all over the World will now think that Igbo don’t respect their elders. But let me say to you that IPOB cannot represent what Igbo stands for because they are minority.
He stated further that when IPOB was proscribed we defended them that have done nothing that will warrant Federal Government to take such actions. We defended them before but now we can’t defend them again, since they have turned around to be attacking us: elders and Igbo politicians.
He however said that security challenges are not limited to the region, that all the regions in the country have to contend with one form of insecurity or the other.
