Senator Rose Oko who was the Chairman of Senate Committee on Trade and Investment from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, died on Monday night.
According to a family source, Oko died at the age of 63 when receiving treatment from undisclosed ailment in an hospital in United Kingdom.
Mr Patrick Ikorgor Okoroji, a close family member of the late Senator confirmed the news and said:
“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of my dear Cousin Senator Dr Rose Okoji Oko after a long-fought battle with a physical affliction.
“You gave your best to your world now that it has pleased the Almighty God to call you home may your soul find eternal rest in Heaven. Adieu, Distinguished Senator Dr Rose Okoji Oko,” Mr Patrick said.
