Kai Harvetz gets a perfect jersey number in Chelsea

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea new signing Kai Harvetz has Chosen to wear the number 29 shirt for the upcoming season.

Harvetz joined Chelsea from Bayern Leverkusen in a deal which saw him became the most Expensive German player in history.
Harvetz Wore the Number 29 Jersey at Bayern Leverkusen and the number is currently being occupied by Nigerian Descent Fikayo Tomori who is set to Join Everton on a season long loan.
Harvetz was in contention to take the number 10 Jersey which is still Officially Vacant at Chelsea following Willian move to Arsenal. Christain Pulisic has been tipped to take inherit the number 10 Jersey but no Official statement has been made by Chelsea.

New Chelsea Signings Timo Werner and Hakem Ziyech have taken the number 11 and number 22 Jersey Respectively. Ziyech switched to Pulisic number which indicates Pulisic is set to change number this season and now looks likey to take the number 10 Jersey given Harvetz has opted for the number 29.

It is understood the Jersey number 29 is Harvetz Favourite number given he wore it all through his Bayern Leverkusen days and Tomori move to Everton will see the number become Vacant.

Harvetz has began training with the Chelsea squad and is on course to make his debut against Brighton when the premier league returns this weekend.

Ahead of the game, Chelsea are still hoping to have Hakem Ziyech fit after he suffered an Injury in the blues pre Season game.

Harvetz is expected to be used either as a number 10 or on the wing by Frank Lampard which could see Mason Mount drop to the bench.

The blues are also closing in on a Move for Rennes goalkeeper and more update on the transfer are expected in the next few days
