Kepa Arrizabalaga has made a new transfer decision bearly less than twenty four hours after signing new number one goalkeeper for the Blues
Chelsea are reportedly willing to let goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga depart this summer, according to a report from Spanish daily El Gol Digital, and have offered him a season-long loan contract to Valencia.Kepa joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2018 for a world-record amount for a goalie. The Spaniard, on the other hand, has had a challenging time at Stamford Bridge. From his fight with Maurizio Sarri to falling out of favor with Frank Lampard and eventually slipping down the pecking order, the 26-year-old has had a tough time.Kepa was primarily left on the bench in the 2020/21 season after the signing of Edouard Mendy last summer. Despite the fact that he got a few appearances after Thomas Tuchel joined, the Spanish international will continue to be the No. 2 due to the Senegalese’s outstanding performances for the west London heavyweights.Chelsea may well be willing to offer him a way out by loaning him to Valencia in La Liga, according to reports. This comes after the defending European champions signed Marcus Bettinelli on a free transfer after the Fulham midfielder was released at the end of last season. While Bettinelli was brought in as a solution for Chelsea’s third-choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who was let go after his contract expired, he has enough experience to serve as a reserve for Mendy if Kepa is permitted to leave.
