Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he will call Thomas Tuchel to congratulate him on Chelsea’s success in the Champions League last season.
The German coach, who taken over from Frank Lampard at the end of January, securing his first trophy as Chelsea manager after guided his side to a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League final in May.Tuchel and Mbappe both came close to winning the competition last year at Paris Saint-Germain as they were suffered defeat to Bayern Munich in the final stages of thecompetitions.
Mbappe thrived under Tuchel’s guidance at PSG and the French forward, who establish himself as one of best attacker in the world of football, believes his former boss can become one of the world’s best coaches’.‘After the Euros, I’m going to call him because I have a really good relationship with him,’ Mbappe said in an interview with Sport Bild.
‘He’s fantastic tactically. He knows exactly how opponents will behave and can predict matches very accurately.
‘And it must also be taken into account – he is still a very young coach. He can become one of the best coaches of the future.‘He proved it with his victory in the Champions League.’
Mbappe, on the other hand, put the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid on red alert by deciding not to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.The 22-year-old winger is said to have told several members of his entourage that he wishes to move on, and Chelsea are among the candidates to secure the next generation talent after Thomas Tuchel given greenlight while Los Blancos also said to be interested in services of French forward but financial situation may hampered summer move for PSG star.
