Chelsea will battle Man City in the Champions League final later this month. The blues reached the final after disposing of Real Madrid in the semi final earlier this month.
Ahead of the crucial game, it has been revealed that at least five Man City first team players are currently injured. Germany international Ilkay Gundogan had to be replaced after scoring a goal against Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola revealed after the game that he picked up an injury. In an interview, Pep said “he was injured a little bit, it was a kick, he started the second half and had niggles in his muscles because he couldn’t run properly”.
Man City also revealed through an official club statement that other players such as Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker and Sergio Aguero are also not fit for football at the moment.
The fifth Man City player yet to recover from injury is Belgium midfield man Kevin De Bruyne. He has not played for Man City in the last two weeks.
