Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante out in Tuchel’s predicted lineup against Burnley

Chelsea will face Burnley in their next Premier League game at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel side will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the league table with a win over relegation battlers, Burnley. Burnley have just one win in ten league games, they’ll definitely give Thomas Tuchel side a tough time. Chelsea will have to give in everything they’ve got against this Burnley side.

Chelsea once again will be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, the duo are still due to return to Chelsea’s training and there has been no specific date for their return. Thomas Tuchel side have coped well in their absence. Here’s how Chelsea could lineup in the Premier League tomorrow.

Mason Mount returned to Chelsea’s training sessions this week after he missed out on two of their last games. He had a non covid related issue and is now back in the squad. After missing out on two games, a start against Burnley won’t be guaranteed to Mason Mount. Christian Pulisic will likely make his first start after returning from injury. Mason Mount might get some minutes possibly in the second half.

Since Timo Werner sustained an injury, Callum Hudson-odoi has been one of Chelsea’s most productive players. He’ll definitely make another Premier League start against Burnley tomorrow, he’ll be the preferred option to Hakim Ziyech. Since replacing Timo Werner in the Champions League against Malmo, Callum Hudson-odoi has three goal involvements in all competitions so far. Hakim Ziyech is gradually getting back to his best but he’ll have to make way for Callum Hudson-odoi tomorrow.

Mateo Kovacic has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game, the Croatian have missed Chelsea’s recent games and will be out till after the international break. N’golo Kante is fit for tomorrow’s game but might not be a starter, Ruben Loftus-cheek and Jorginho will be the preferred midfield duo just like they were in the Champions League. Ruben Loftus-cheek is gradually finding himself in Chelsea’s first team.

The defense remains unchanged for tomorrow’s occasion, keeping the same defense used against Newcastle United with Andreas Christensen starting alongside Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva. Ben Chilwell and Reece James remains the preferred wing backs for tomorrow’s game.
