According to a report by El Gol Digital, Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Pau Torres. The Spanish international favours a switch to Old Trafford instead of Real Madrid in the summer transfer window and has communicated his decision to Villarreal as well.

Pau Torres has established himself as one of the best defenders in La Liga since finally enjoying a breakthrough season with Villarreal in 2019/20. This term, he has only gone from strength to strength, has become a pivotal figure in Unai Emery’s side, making 32 appearances across all competitions while also chipping in with 3 goals.

Thomas Tuchel asks Chelsea FC owner to sign Erling Haaland

Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel has asked Roman Abramovich to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, according to a report.

Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Tuchel is desperate to get a deal over the line for the Norway international in the 2021 summer transfer window.

he same article states that Tuchel has personally asked Abramovich to use Werner as part of a deal for Haaland such as the Chelsea FC manager’s desperation to sign Haaland.

According to the same story, the new Blues manager hasn’t held back with his regards to his coaching style with Werner.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is reportedly at the centre of a three-way transfer tussle between Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Atletico Madrid man is expected to end his glittering stint at the Etihad when his deal expires in June, and he will not be short of suitors despite his age and injury woes.

Aguero has been tipped to head back to his native Argentina with boyhood club Independiente del Valle, but three top clubs in Europe supposedly believe that the 32-year-old still has some years left in him at the elite level.

According to Marca, PSG, Juventus and Barcelona are all tempted by the prospect of landing Aguero on a free this summer, with the latter hoping that the striker’s potential arrival could convince Lionel Messi to pen a new deal.

Done deal: Joel Walsh Signs Long-term contract extension

Lincoln City is pleased to announce that defender Joe Walsh has signed a long-term contract extension with the club.

The 28-year-old initially joined the Imps in August 2020 from MK Dons before going on to keep a clean sheet on his City debut in a 0-0 draw against Fleetwood Town.

Walsh has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Imps this season, keeping nine clean sheets as he plays a key role in Michael Appleton’s side.

Done deal: Ex-Sheffield Wednesday player joins Ross Wallace on Burnley coaching staff

David Jones, the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder, has been appointed to the coaching team at Burnley.

The 36-year-old spent three years at Hillsborough. He made 66 appearances after joining the Owls from the Clarets for an undisclosed fee. He was released in the summer of 2019.

Since then he’s had a short-term playing deal at League Two side Oldham but now is set to join the academy set-up at the Lancashire club.
