Popular Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley has entered into fresh trouble with the Nigerian Police because he disobeyed the social distancing order because of the deadly coronavirus.
Funke Akindele and her husband were sentenced to 14 days community service.
Marley has been arrested for attending a birthday party organised by Akindele for her husband.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana revealed that “The Command has launched a manhunt for the remaining persons who attended the party. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu expressed his profound gratitude to Lagosians and other well meaning Nigerians that speak up against the violations. Together we can stop the spread of COVID-19,” he said.
Elkana earlier revealed the implications of flouting lock down order:
“Where there is a violation of a close down or stay at home order, security Agencies shall have the power to arrest without warrant and may detain any person who violates the close down or stay at home order for at least 48 hours.
“Where the arrested person is found guilty, the person is liable to a fine of N100,000.00 or one-month imprisonment or three months Community service.”
