Nigerians are swiftly reacting the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday as it fined the Federal Government to pay the sum of N200,000 to Omoyele Sowore.
The money represented a fine for causing an adjournment of the trial of Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, on frivolous grounds.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu who presided over the matter warned that the case will not go on unless the prosecution fails to present evidence of the payment of the N200,000 to the defence or come to court with the cash on Thursday.
It was reported that Professor Wole Soyinka, Shehu Sani and other supporters were in Court with Sowore to show solidarity.
Reactions have continued to pour in, Adechukwu said whether they like it or not, we are going to jail that boy. This is our government and our country. If you don’t like it, go to where you migrated from.
DeMajority said, This is justice and best justice system put in place for a retired general of the NA. I miss Brig. Idiagbon. How I wish he was alive to help hold some general’s brain in place perhaps it could function. I will never forget Brig. Idiagbon.
@Bolaji said that the next thing you will hear is that the Judge from Ndigbo has been changed to another judge from the North.
Many more reactions are currently coming in as we file this report. What do you think about this judgement?
