Obaseki floors Ize-Iyamu, Tinubu, Oshiomhole, wins Edo for PDP

The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has defeated his closest opponent in the Governorship election, Pastor Ize-Iyamu.

This is a very big victory as his predecessor and former Chairman of APC, Adam Oshimhole and the National leader of the party, Bola Tinubu were on ground to boost the chance of their candidate winning the election.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has declared Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki re-elected after beating his opponents.

Obaseki scored 307, 955 votes to defeat Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress(APC) who polled 223,619 votes.

The Commission said a certificate of return will be presented to Obaseki within the next seven days as required by the law.
