Abdulkadir Jimoh, the Cross River State Commissioner of police, as reported by the media has died after he has been battling with an illness.
Jimoh has been battling with debilitating ill health for sometimes now died early Friday, December 18, 2020 morning of an undisclosed illness.
However, according to reports, Jimoh may have died from COVID-19 related complication as he reportedly died at the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Isolation Centre at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH Calabar.
Although information of when he contracted the virus and was isolated is still unknown.
Efforts made by newsmen to reach the Police spokesperson in the state, DSP Irene Ugbo, on Phone on Friday, was abortive as her phone number was not reachable at the time of filing this report.
