Roman Abramovich sends message to new Chelsea owner as he hands over the club

Chelsea Owner Roman Abramovich has wished the new Owners of the West London Club success as the Russian finally hand over the club to Todd Boehly’s consortium.

It’s been more than 3 months since Roman Abramovich announced the decision to sell Chelsea Football Club. Many Billionaires, rich conglomerates, consortiums and groups expressed their interest in becoming the new owner of the club before the Todd Boehly-led Consortium won the bid.

On Saturday afternoon, Roman Abramovich released a statement across all Chelsea’s social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook, that he’s now ready to sign off Chelsea. He also wished the incoming owners success as they prepare to takeover Chelsea completely.

“As I hand over Chelsea to its new custodians, I would like to wish them the best of success, both on and off the pitch,” says Roman Abramovich in his official statement.

By Monday, it might be a wrong statement to still address Roman Abramovich as Chelsea Owner as he would have handed over totally.
