The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sent a message to Churches over this year crossover services that they normally do to usher in the new year.
It has been a yearly practice for Churches to hold service from December 31st night to the 1st of January as they lead their members to the new year.
But the coronavirus pandemic that has affected the whole world has impacted the way of life and the new normal has set in..
Recall that the Governor of Lagos was reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 but has now recovered from the deadly disease.
Sanwo-Olu who was responding to questions from newsmen on Thursday at the State House in Marina, Lagos, disclosed that he had “moderate symptoms”.
He issued a message to Churches to observe the curfew imposed by the Federal Government in their efforts to curtail the further spread of the deadly virus.
The curfew as imposed by the FG is from 12am to 4am.
As it stands Churches will not be able to the crossover service like it used to be.
According to the information available to us some Churches may have to adopt another time for their service unlike how it was before
