“They should not start against Malmo”, 3 Chelsea stars Tuchel should bench in UCL clash

The Group H table fixtures of the UEFA Champions League will see Chelsea host the Swedish football club Malmo FF at Stamford Bridge. In this article, I’ll be talking about three players that Chelsea’s German coach Thomas Tuchel should not star against Malmo, for his club to achieve better results in the UCL clash.

1. Edouard Mendy

The 29-year-old Senegalese goalkeeper was active for Senegal’s national football during the International break and wasn’t rested by Tuchel in the club’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Brentford FC.

Edouard Mendy could experience fatigue after playing too many games with few days apart, which might affect his form in Chelsea’s clash with Malmo. Kepa should be allowed to play in the match, while Mendy gets benched.

2. Romelu Lukaku

The 28-year-old Belgian forward has failed to score in his last six games for Chelsea, after struggling with a goal drought.

Lukaku should be benched against Malmo because of his recent form, while Werner and Havertz should lead Chelsea’s attack in the match.

3. Malang Sarr

Malang Sarr should be benched for the much more experienced Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, in Chelsea’s UCL clash with Malmo.
