Chelsea football club head coach, Thomas Tuchel has slammed the FIFA ban restriction on Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva and some other premier league players for refusing to play for their national team.
The German head coach while speaking in an interview on Chelsea TV after a training session at Cobham, disclosed that the FIFA ban restriction does not really make sense to him. He further revealed that football has become more complicated nowadays than as it was before.
“Well football is not the same anymore because of traveling restrictions. Every club wants their players to always play in their national teams. And I think that the players wants that too. But in a situation where the players cannot play for their national teams and get suspended in their league; it doesn’t not really make sense to me. Because it is not beneficial to the national team, club side nor the player too,” said that Chelsea head coach.
He further divulged that Thiago Silva might likely feature in the game against Aston Villa provided negotiations between the Chelsea chairman and the FIFA representatives falls in favour of Chelsea.
